Learn to Skate - Youth
U.S. Figure Skating Basic Skills Program consists of eight levels designed to prepare the beginning skater to take the ice with ease and confidence. This badge program focuses on correct technique of basic elements, develops coordination and balance, promotes physical fitness and achieves the skills necessary to be able to skate for fun, play hockey or pursue more advanced skating by joining the figure skating club. Skaters progress according to skills mastered and individual improvement is the number one goal of our talented staff.
Bolton Ice Palace's Saturday Learn to Skate Class is open to youths but adults are welcome, too.
Learn to Skate - Adult/Teen
"TGIF"... An hour of exercise at the end of the week to start your weekend off right!! Open to all levels of teen and adult skaters, participants will learn fundamentals of skating (30 minutes lesson time, 30 minutes practice time) while in the company of their peers. Curriculum is customized to meet the individual needs of the skaters so join the fun and skate with us on Friday nights!!
Bridge Program
The Bridge Class is a group class designed to help the graduate of the Basic Skills program or more advanced Basic Skills skaters (Basic 4+) "bridge" the gap between Basic Skills and Private Lessons. Skaters meet once a week on ice for instruction in advanced stroking, power, jumps and spins. Classes are 30 minutes lesson time, 30 minutes practice time.
Monday Morning Tots Program
Comeing this summer, join the fun on Monday mornings and skate with your child/children! Bolton Ice Palace is now accepting registrations for this 45 minute skating class designed to introduce the fundamentals of skating to Tots age 3-5.
Wednesday Tots Program
Snowplow Sam is a program designed to introduce young skaters to the ice using games to help learn skating skills. Preschoolers receive badges as they learn dips, swizzles, wiggles and stops with skaters their own age. Classes are 30 minutes long and the children are with an instructor the entire length of the class.
Friday Morning Tots Program
Come join the fun on Friday mornings and skate with your child/ children! Bolton Ice Palace is now accepting registrations for this 45 minute skating class designed to introduce the fundamentals of skating to Tots age 3-5.
Homeschool Skating Program
Daytime ice skating lessons designed to enhance the curriculum of homeschoolers. Classes are 30 minutes of lesson time and 30 minutes of practice time. Lessons will be grouped by age and will focus on fundamentals of learning how to ice skate supplemented with learning that extends outside the traditional classroom.
